The birds one-off pieces were created by Poppy as the starting point for our garden birds collection and the blackbird not only features in our new fabric design, mug and card he's become an embroidered motif on purses, make up bags and phone holders, re-created by our stitchers from this original by Poppy.

This piece is stitched by Poppy on her vintage Singer sewing machine. The slightly unpredictable nature of drawing in stitch means that the lines have a naive quality to them.
